Grace Episcopal Church of Georgetown, Texas prayerfully seeks an individual who embraces a strong balance towards preaching, administration, pastoral care, and leadership, as well as a commitment to share the love of Christ throughout this community. We seek someone who will preach the gospel, teach the Bible and reach the unchurched.
Our parish is positioned in the fastest-growing community in the country, with a population of 86,000. Our congregation, Vestry and Diocese have committed to providing a second location, strategically located adjacent to housing developments and new schools serving a younger population. The rector we seek should be able to lead an established culture toward a more adaptive one, poised to meet the needs of these younger families.
Our congregation continues to flourish in these transitional times, largely due to the strength of its many lay leaders, lending support to our very capable Locum Tenens, previously our Associate Rector. The rector we seek would be a strong leader guiding other capable leaders willing to serve, while working with the Associate Rector to accomplish the Lord’s work at both campuses of Grace.
We are a highly educated parish, and the rector we seek will need to nourish a congregation hungry for additional Christian formation, leading us to develop innate talents and skill sets to minister throughout our community.
Grace Episcopal Church is a dynamic, exciting congregation of believers, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide us toward a partnership with an individual who loves people, loves our Lord, and loves the challenges inherent in a growing community.
Prayer for the Election of a Rector Almighty God, giver of every gift; look graciously on your Church and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector of the parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
